Engineering Practices in the Next Generation Science Standards

Through a collaborative, state-led process managed by Achieve, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are being developed and are expected to be released this coming spring. The standards will be rich in content and practice, arranged in a coherent manner across disciplines and grades to provide all students an internationally benchmarked science education. The NGSS will be based on the Framework for K–12 Science Education developed by the National Research Council. NSTA is also a partner in the NGSS development process and has been providing guidance at every stage. This web seminar will give K-12 teachers strategies for implementing NGSS in the classroom.
