Event Description

September 25 1:30am–3:30am (ET)

Is your district ready to develop meaningful collaboration with families that boosts student learning?

Maria C. Paredes, Senior Program Associate in the Comprehensive School Assistance Program at WestEd, will share:

  • A systematic approach to parent-teacher information exchange based on student grade-level achievement goals.

  • Improved strategies for sharing student progress data with families in a way that fosters engagement and collaboration.

  • Several districts that have transitioned from traditional parent-teacher conferences to a research-based approach that is outcome-oriented.

  • The improvements that WestEd's professional development have made in schools to raise the capacity of teachers and administrators to create purposeful family engagement.
