Complementary Registration to NMSA Annual Conference, November 4-6, 2010, Baltimore, MD

MSP2 is offering registration scholarships ($299 value) for 100 MSP2 members to attend this year’s National Middle School Association Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD, November 4-6, 2010.

Recipients of the scholarships will have access to all concurrent and general sessions, and exhibit hall. Ticketed options (e.g., school visits, action labs, ticketed workshops), travel, room, and board are not included with the scholarship.

This will be an opportunity to learn, share, and meet members of the MSP2 community and participate in the only national conference dedicated to middle grades education.

Keynote speakers at the conference are Dr. Benjamin Carson and Bill Ripken and Cal Ripken, Jr.

Featured sessions include—

            Alan November on the Digital Learning Farm

Ioannis Miaoulis on STEM

Nadine Vogel on Students with Special Needs
Sean Covey on 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens

MSP2 Teacher Leaders and staff will be leading sessions on—

• Virtual field trips
• Cross-school collaborations
• Creating, connecting, and collaborating with MSP2
• Digital storytelling in the science and math classroom
• Students and the networked world

In addition, there are more than 400 concurrent sessions on a variety of topics, including more than 70 concurrent sessions on topics related to STEM and Technology and 21^st Century Skills.

Scholarship recipients will—

• meet together Friday morning and evening, share learning from the conference, and initiate further work and collaboration
  
• be expected to post to the MSP2 site and engage in follow-up activities and conversations on MSP2
