STEM Information for Beginners
Mark Sanders published a great article, STEM, STEM Education, STEMmania in the December/January 2009 issue of The Technology Teacher, which you can access here: http://www.iteaconnect.org/Publications/AAAS/TTT%20STEM%20Article_1....
He starts off with a little history of how STEM came to be, moves into the differences between STEM programs and STEM schools and then on to integrative STEM. It's easy to read info that all teachers involved in STEM will want to know.

Good read.....Here's a link to the Dayton Regional STEM Center in Ohio where I serve as a lead fellow if you are interested in learning more about the subject. If you look at the preview videos, you can get an idea of some of the types of STEM lessons that we offer under the STEM Curriculum tab. Karen, Thank you for sharing this article. It looks as if it is a great introduction to what we are trying to achieve here on MSP2. It is also a good guide as more and more schools/educators realize the importance of emphasizing the STEM subjects in education.
