Thank you for sharing, Anna. I'm glad you've found the site to be helpful. I'm sorry that you are dealing with some worrisome times, personally, and hope that you find peace and comfort in the midst of it all.
When you're ready to jump in here, we'll be thrilled for you and look forward to your contributions.
Hi Anna - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
We've had two Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks and one on Moodle in the Middle - did you participate in one of these? You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next two are on Digital Storytelling and Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!
Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!
Welcome, Anna,
We're glad you've joined MSP2. Would you be wiling to share a little more about yourself? What science topics you love to teach? What topics (or skills) you find most challenging? Whether you are a member of any other online professional learning communities? What you were looking for (if you remember!) when you found MSP2?
This is a growing group. We're eager to facilitate and encourage conversations and community building. There is a science group that might interest you. There are two early discussions there to which you are welcome to contribute. In fact, I hope you're willing to jump in and share, contribute, question at any place throughout MSP2.
Welcome to the portal. Please look around and check out all that we have to offer. When youre comfortable, please feel free to share more about yourself and/or even contribute to our many boards or resources.
Take Care,
Tom
