All of the above. I am surprised at the inability for many of the students to read the text and then comprehend what they have read. I attempt to include text reading as much as possible because that will be a skill that they need down the road. The…

Hi Bill - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.

We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.

You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim

Hi Bill
Welcome to MSP2
There is a wealth of resources here, and now you are a part of that too. Please introduce yourself, explore the site, join groups and add to discussions. The more we all share, the more we all can learn.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know. We are here to help.

Welcome, Bill,
We're glad you've joined us. Would you be willing to share a little bit about yourself? What kinds of things you like to teach? What prompted you to join MSP2? How MSP2 could be of assistance to you? If you've looked around much and found resources that have piqued your interest?

I hope you'll feel free to jump in, "get involved," participate in discussions, post a question, share a great lesson or resource.

Hi Bill,
So glad you joined the MSP2 network. We're just getting started so any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! We've got lots of resources for middle school math and science teachers - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Publications, Diigo lists, and two project blogs where we highlight exemplary online resources - Exemplary Resources for Middle School Math and Science and Connecting News with the National Science Education Standards. We're having some really good conversations about integrating technology and the math group is really starting to take off. Are there any specific issues or topics you would like to see addressed? Hope you get involved – welcome!
Jessica
