Hi Brian - Let me second Mary's welcome. In addition to the science resource guides she mentions, I want to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.
We've had four Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, Digital Storytelling, and Wikis. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!
Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Welcome – Kim
Welcome, Brian,
I see that you are a friend of Cherlyn. Should I assume she is the one who told you about MSP2?? A number of folks have come on board to MSP2 in the last few days who are Cherlyn's friends. Is there any chance you all know each other as well? Part of a cadre? Cohort? Professional learning community?
In any event, welcome! Would love to know a little more about you. For example, what topics do you enjoy teaching? What do you find most rewarding about teaching in the middle grades? What digital or web-based tools do you use or are you interested in using in your classroom?
If you haven't checked them out already, please take some time to peruse the online science resource guides. These are on a wiki platform, so we encourage users to get in, comment, add, share, expand on the content.
