Hi Diane - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. I see that you checked "Other" in addition to Mathematics - what other are you? Knowing all the ways that our members are involved in education helps us get closer to meeting the needs of our audience. It would be great if you would add a short bio in your "My Page" Text Box.
In any case, I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math [and science] educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Diane
Welcome to MSP2
Please introduce yourself, explore the site, join groups and add to discussions. The more we all share, the more we all can learn. There is a wealth of resources here, and now you are a part of that too.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know.

Thanks, Diane, for sharing. There are several new teachers on MSP2--1-3 years. So you are in good company. There are also many experienced teachers, and folks in between.
You are fortunate to have an "across-the-hall" colleague to encourage, support, and guide you. I hope you will be able to find additional people and resources here on MSP2.
Please, at any time, feel free to let us/me know how we can help. But also keep in mind that YOU bring experienes and resources to this table from which others can benefit.
Welcome, Diane,
There are several new members to MSP2 that hale from Canada. Are some of you colleagues and friends who have discovered MSP2? Canada is such a huge country, would you be willing to let us know which province you're in?
I'd like to learn a little more about you in terms of what you teach, what you're interested in finding and contributing to MSP2, what prompted you to join, anything about your school and your students.
I hope you'll be willing to jump in and explore the site, the resources (of which there are TONS!), comment on postings, join discussions, pose questions.
Please feel free to let me know how I can be of assistance and support to you, or how the community can assist you in your work.
Again, welcome!
M
