Hi Elizabeth - So glad you joined the MSP2 network - let me second Mary's welcome.
In any case, I want to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
In addition, I want to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.
We've had four Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, Digital Storytelling, and Wikis. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!
Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Welcome – Kim
It's great to have you on board here at MSP2. I see that Cherlyn Anderson is your friend! Apparently Cherlyn has shared the MSP2 site with a number of folks lately. We're delighted with that!
Would love to learn a little bit more about you, if you're willing to share. You can post here on your "Comment Wall," or "Add Text" on your home page here on the site.
Here are some of the things I'm curious about:
1. What is the "other" discipline you teach?
2. What science topics do you most enjoy teaching?
3. What digital or web-based tools do you currently, or are you interested in using in your classroom?
4. How can a portal and community, like MSP2, best assist you?
Please feel free to jump into any activity here on the site. Write a blog post. Join a discussion. Ask a question. Share favorite resources. There are many ways to get involved.
