I am a middle school electives teacher who often ends up teaching a study hall for students who are not passing their core classes. Since I've taught math and science in the past, I like working with the study hall student so that I can keep up with the new "stuff!"
Other classes that I teach include drama, TV production, Future Cities, and new for this year...personal finance.
I am interested in keeping aware of how teachers are using technology in their classrooms....i have not ventured into applying M-learning in my classroom but might be dabbling a bit with it this year. When one teaches five or six different types of classes, sometimes it's hard to find the time to learn a few new tricks to bring into the classroom....I keep trying!

In any case, I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!

Please introduce yourself here and lets us know how we can help you or you can help us. Do you teach math? Science? Do you work in education in another capacity?
I would like to encourage you to explore the site, join groups, and add to discussions. The site is growing and as we get more members, we have more to share.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know. We are here to help you.

We're glad you've joined MSP2. I'd love to know how you found out about us.
With 21 years of experience, you have a wealth of knowledge to share. I hope you will be willing to do just that!
Echoing Tom's comment: yes, if you would be willing to share a little bit about yourself that would be great. For example: What role do you have in relationship to math and/or science in your school? What are your favorite things to teach? What are some of your school's strengths? How would you like to participate in MSP2?
Again....welcome!

I'm guessing that your picture isn't from Las Vegas ; ) Looks like a nice view!
