Hi Janelle - Wasn't sure if you did attend yesterday's TechTalk but wanted to update you on all of them. We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim
Welcome aboard Janelle! Glad to have you with us at MSP2...hope you don't get sick of me since you'll read most of my thoughts half-formed on Twitter and then get the full version over here :)
Hi Janelle - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. We're just getting started so any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! We've got lots of resources for middle school math and science teachers - look at the left side of the Main page - Math Publications, Science Publications, Diigo lists, and one of three project blogs where we highlight lots of exemplary online math and science resources - Resources for Middle School Math and Science, Polar Research, and Connecting News. Welcome – Kim
Hi Janelle
Welcome to MSP2
Please introduce yourself here and lets us know how we can help you. Do you teach math? Science? Do you work in education in another capacity?
I would like to encourage you to explore the site, join groups, and add to discussions. The site is growing and as we get more members, we have more to share.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know. We are here to help you.
toodles
Welcome, Janelle! So glad you've joined MSP2. I will assume that if a colleague or friend informed you about MSP2, that individual must be finding or have found something of value here!
One of our hopes is that this site and its community become a source of support for teachers across all years of experience. If you haven't had a chance yet, I hope you'll take some time to explore resources, discussions, blogs. And PLEASE feel free to jump in and comment, share, recommend, question, participate in ways that meet your needs.
Let us know if there is anything particular you are looking for or hoping to gain from participation here.
Again, welcome!
M
