Glad to have you on board. I'm curious as to the online event you attended that introduced you to MSP2. It's helpful for us to know how folks discover MSP2.
Would be interested to learn a little more about you. For example:
- what topics you enjoy teaching
- what topics you find most challenging
- whether you are engaged in any other online professional learning communities
- what ways your school or district supports/encourages the integration of technology tools for learning and teaching
Don't know if you've had a chance to look around the MSP2 site much. If not, here are a few things you might find interesting or helpful:
- The Math group is a good place to ask questions and start discussions.
- The Math Resource Guides are standards-based, quality resources. These guides are wiki pages, so you can add to, comment on, share your own resources.
- The Web Archive page links to recordings the various online events we've held. We're always looking for suggestions as to new events. So if there is something you're interested in, let us know.
Please feel free to jump in. We welcome your comments, postings, questions, and ideas. Share resources and tools that you've found helpful. Engage in the discussions. Participate in a way that is beneficial to you.
Welcome to the MSP2 community! So glad you've joined us.
Have you had a chance to explore the site, yet? You'll find lesson ideas, digital resources for classroom use, and connections to current news items. Look at the left side of the Main page and you'll find Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs to name just a few. You'll also see that we have some links in the MSP2 Resources box - Getting Funding, Favorite Blogs, and Freeware/Shareware. We hope that members of the network will help us add content to these pages.
We've had several Tech Talks recently - on Reading in Mathematics, Interactive Notebooks, Diigo, Moodle, Wikis, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link. You can also see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. We recently had the first meeting of our book club, check out the Book Club Group for more information on that.
We're also soon to be adding resources for youth - a series of virtual learning experiences for students. So plenty more to come!
Please send any ideas or feedback you have our way, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
