Hello Everyone!

I'm a 6th grade special education teacher (inclusion) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We are considered a middle-sized city, with a number of urban issues. I have been getting more involved with moodle over the past couple of years. Since I'm an inclusion teacher, I do a lot of collaborating with the colleagues on my Team, in order to do some decent differentiation.

Hi Jeff - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. Thanks so much for posting something about yourself. One of the topics that keeps coming up again and again if differentiated learning.

We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle (don't know if you got to that one or not), and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link.

We would really like to have a webinar (or two or more) about differentiated instruction. Would you be interested in doing a presentation and talking to the group about specific strategies that are working for you and your team and students?

In any case, I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.

Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!

Hope to hear from you soon - Kim

Hi Jeff
Welcome to MSP2
Please introduce yourself here and lets us know how we can help you. Do you teach math? Science? Do you work in education in another capacity?
I would like to encourage you to explore the site, join groups, and add to discussions. The site is growing and as we get more members, we have more to share.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know. We are here to help you.

Welcome, Jeff,

Thanks for coming on board to MSP2. Would love to know what prompted you to do so! There is growing activity along with a wealth of resources.

Would you be willing to share a little bit about yourself? What subject(s) you teach. Where you are in integrating digital/web-based tools in the classroom. Whether you belong to any other online professional learning communities. The kinds of support you'd like to gain from MSP2 as well as the way you'd like to participate.

If there is anything in particular you're looking for, just let us know...post a question, comment, start a discussion, send a message.

Again, welcome.

M
