Do your students struggle with comprehension or vocabulary development? Looking for ways to integrate literacy in your instruction? This group will explore issues related to literacy in middle school science and mathematics.
Hi Jennifer - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. I see you chose "Other" - I'm always curious about people's background - would you be willing to share what your position is? We really are trying to meet the needs of a varied audience and knowing who our members are sure helps.
In any case, I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
We've had two Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks and one on Moodle in the Middle. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next two are on Digital Storytelling and Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!
Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Jennifer
Welcome to MSP2
Glad you joined in. You can also introduce yourself, join groups, and participate in events. The more we all share, the more we all can learn. There is a wealth of resources here, and now you are a part of that too.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know.
toodles
Welcome, Jennifer. Thanks for jumping into the "Homework Issues" discussion. That's exactly the kind of thing that makes something like MSP2 work--conversations and connections.
Again, welcome.
