Welcome to the site. Its exciting to have you on here as your videos about flipping the classroom are what got me started doing the same with my 6th graders in math! Thanks for commenting on my blog post as well. I'll be looking forward to your book too!
I'm planning on running a webinar about my experiences with flipping thus far and getting some of my students to join and comment on their experiences with it too. I'm planning on doing it toward the end March and would love to have you join us.
In the meantime, I'll be responding to the comments on my blog post and hopefully we can continue the discussion.

I wanted to tell you a little about MSP2 - we are using this NING network as a place where educators can connect with each other (through answers to profile questions and the advanced Members search) and also as a way to connect educators with exemplary resources and professional development opportunities.
If you look on the Main page - you'll see MSP2 resources in the upper left hand box - we have resource guides where we have sifted and sorted and contextualized resources on topics important to middle school math and science teachers, an archive of all of our past webinars, the ability to search the MSP2 collection, and pages of teacher and student opportunities and grants. Our newest resource guides are Teaching With Trade Books which includes lessons for science AND math classes and Science Misconceptions.
We've got some great upcoming events - check them out in the Events section. One on using iPads is coming up soon - all of the webinars are free.
Please don't hesitate to post a question or comment on a discussion or blog post. For instance, there is a good discussion happening on using kits vs. text books. We are always looking for feedback and new ideas for PD opportunities and people who would like to present.
