Welcome, Karen,
Glad you've joined MSP2. Hmmm....any chance the "friend or colleague" who informed you about MSP2 was Eric Biederbeck??
Would love to learn a little more about you and your teaching situation. Whenever I see a humanities and science or math teaching combination, I wonder if the individual is part of an integrated curriculum team. Is that your situation?
Regarding the areas for which you're interested in seeking help, here are a couple of ideas that may be of assistance:
1. Another MSP2 member has been eager to engage folks in conversation about student misconceptions. Consider going to the "Educational and Action Research" group and introducing yourself, share an experience, question, or observation regarding student misconceptions.
2. The math online resource guides are standards-based, quality teaching resources that have either been written or identified and gathered by math teaching specialists. These guides are also wiki pages, so you can contribute resources you've discovered.
3. I'm seeing more folks point out the need for assistance as they work with gifted and talented and with special needs students. Consider writing a blog post or initiate discussion around a particular issue. Do an advanced search on members to find other people who have identified these topics as areas of need.
I hope you will be willing to jump in an share your experience and knowledge with the community. The more that MSP2 members engage with each other and with the resources, the better for all.
Again, welcome!

Hi Karen. Welcome aboard....
Please take some time to look at all that this site has to offer and then please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. If you're looking for different instructional strategies, then I would recommend looking at past blogs and the online workshps that we offer.
Also, please feel free to share more about yourself and some of your ideas in the forums and blogs.
