"I missed this ... it just arrived in my inbox today, and my school district blocks the "tinyurl.com" site. I suppose since it can mask otherwise inappropriate web addresses. I hope you do this again (and perhaps with a bit more notice).…"

Hi Kari - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.

We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.

You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!

And even though you indicated "Other" in your profile, I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.

Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim

Welcome, Kari,

So glad you've decided to join MSP2. Would love to know what has prompted you to do so! Would you be willing to share something about yourself and your teaching situation? For example--
- what subject(s) you teach
- what you enjoy most about teaching in the middle grades
- how you found out about MSP2
- what extent teachers in your school employ digital or web-based tools for teaching and learning
- what kinds of digital or web-based tools you are interested to incorporate in your teaching

Feel free to jump into discussions, post comments, write a blog posting, share resources and ideas.

Again, welcome!
M
