Are you going to the CSTA conference this fall? It is here in Sacramento!
I always come back with some really cool ideas from there and I am hoping to help share some of them with other teachers here. Sometimes, the more I write about it, answer questions, and discuss it, the better I wrap my own brain around it and find ways that I might need to tweak it best for my kids. I also find that the more I keep an idea in my head, the more likely I will follow through on it.
I hope you'll be there and able to help me share. Especially since we will probably be in different strands (7th v 8th content)
Welcome! I am also new to MSP2 and learning more and more each time I visit the site. Everyone has been very helpful and the information invaluable! Please consider asking your co-workers to also join us.

By the way, you can add friends to network lessons with!
There are several Twin Rivers teachers here, like Alison and Ginna. Start searching and see who you know. And if they aren't here, send them an invite.
The more people there are, the more ideas we can share.
If you haven't had a chance to look around yet, I recommend you take a few minutes to explore.
The home page has links to the NSDL site. The library has links to a variety of sites providing lessons and resources and feedback from teachers. No sense reinventing the wheel.
There are also events where different strategies and tools are discussed. Even if you missed an event, you can still be a part of it. Events are recorded. Plus, there are discussion boards to add your thoughts.
For example, we had a discussion about Interactive Notebooks last year. Although its an old topic, I am sure you have some good suggestions to add in there. Plus, there are new members who may not know that there is some neat ideas around there.
If there is anything you need or something you want to see added, just let us know.
I would love to get some discussion on science fair and start to make a "best of..." list. Our district has some room to grow there still.
