Is anyone using Mathematica in their classroom?  I have used a couple of the demonstration projects, but am getting ready to use the full blown version.  Any tips and ideas would be appreciated.

"Andrew, yes this will be built from styrofoam. I am concerned with cutting tools even for that, but will figure that out soon enough. "

"Tom, I am downloading this right now. I think I will still go with a scale model, but will use this as a planning tool. If I run into questions, expect a flurry of messages from me. "

"The conversion from metric to standard was one of the items I wanted to incorporate. It fits one of our state standards well. However, I may save that for after the scale model is built, then translating measurements for reference to an american…"

Hi Kevin
Welcome to MSP2

I am glad you joined us!
Did you attend any outstanding sessions at the NMSA conference? If so, we have started a forum sharing our notes from workshops we attended. Please feel free to add any great things you came away with as well. We can only make it to so many sessions.

Now that you are here with us, you can start to explore the site and look for opportunities to learn and share in this professional network.
Be sure to look at the resources on the home page. This will show some of the great tools on the NSDL site.
I would also like to point you to our forums. This is a great place to post your thoughts, questions and share your own experiences and expertise.

There are also events, like the Tech Talks, available. Even if you miss a Tech Talk, you can check out the recorded session and add to the discussion boards.
Let us know if there is something in particular you want us to address or topics and technologies you might want to learn about.

If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know.
toodles
