"What is a wiki?" you say. Let's take a look at what a wiki is and how it can be used as a tool for online student collaboration. Whether used to create a reference library or a collaborative teaching tool, wikis are an easily accessible Web 2.0 tool that can be used in any class. Works great in the one-computer room or in the computer lab.Facilitator: Karolee SmileyTo register, go to…See More

Hi L - Love the squirrel. So glad you joined the MSP2 network. I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
We've had two Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks and one on Moodle in the Middle - did you participate in one of these? You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next two are on Digital Storytelling and Using Wikis - looks like you are thinking about participating - hope your schedule allows you to. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!
Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!
Hi
Welcome to MSP2
Glad to see our Tech Talks interest you. Let us know if there is something in particular you want us to address or other technologies you might want us to add to the list. If you have any questions or comments, you can add those to the discussion boards for the event. And if you can't make it, the event will be recorded, so you can catch it all later.
I would like to encourage you to explore the site, join groups, and add to discussions. The site is growing and as we get more members, we have more to share.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know. We are here to help you.

I'm going to assume, from your choice of avatar, that you are fond of critters! Me too.
In any event...it's great that you've decided to join MSP2 and that you've joined one of the groups. I see, too, that you're considering attending two of the upcoming Tech Talks. If, for some reason, schedules don't allow, we expect to have recordings of those events available right after the session.
Both sessions are bound to be informative. Feel free to ask questions or post comments or issues you'd like to see addressed on the Wiki or Digital Storytelling event page.
Again, welcome to MSP2.
