Hi Linda - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon and share with your colleagues.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim
Hi Linda - I'm at Ohio State University in the College of Education - School of Teaching and Learning. MSP2 is one of my NSF-funded projects. I teach K-12 preservice and inservice elementary/science teachers (and sometimes math). I'm really glad you joined - having multiple perspectives will be great.
We've got lots of resources for middle school math and science teachers - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Publications, Diigo lists, and two project blogs where we highlight lots of exemplary online math and science resources - Resources for Middle School Math and Science and Connecting News to the National Science Education Standards.
We're having some really good conversations about integrating technology and the math group is quite active. I have another project that you might be interested in - Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears - Integrating Literacy and Science for K-5 Teachers. Truth be told - lots of middle school teachers use the resource too!
