Welcome to the MSP2 social network and community! So glad you've joined us.
Have you had a chance to explore the site, yet? You'll find lesson ideas, digital resources for classroom use, and connections to current news items. Look at the left side of the Main page and you'll find the MSP2 Resources box with Math and Science Resource Guides where we have sifted and sorted and contextualized resources on topics important to middle school math and science teachers. We hope that members of the network (like you) will help us add content to these pages. On the right side of the Main page we have our two project blogs - Resources for Math and Science and Connecting News. We also have a great Free technology for Teachers blog. Please check out our guide to Making the Most of MSP2.
We have several webinars every month on a variety of topics - curricular topics, teaching strategies and technology tools for use in the classroom to name just a few. You can get to the archived recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link. You can also see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. We also have a book club that meets periodically, check out the Book Club Group for more information on that.
We have a great a new tool called PedConnect that shows up on the main page (middle column) and on your "My Page." PedConnect will personalize your experience with MSP2 by identifying resources and discussions that reflect the topics you select. It also shows your activity on MSP2 (number of blog posts, discussion posts, and comments). We would really appreciate any feedback you have as you use the tool.
We also have a site for youth - a series of virtual learning experiences for students. Check out the SMARTR site for students from the MSP2 home page or by going to http://smartr.edc.org.
Please send any ideas or feedback you have our way, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
