MariaD replied to Davilla Riddle's discussion 'STEM Student Showcase'
I would suggest you partner up with an existing project where there is a significant community of teachers and students. Off the top of my head, I would suggest Art of Problem Solving or Curriki.   Good idea, Davilla. Please let me know how I…

MariaD replied to Kim Lightle's discussion 'What Should We Read Next?' in the group MSP2 Book Club
This is an article, but it packs as much info as a book, all links considered. I loved it so much. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/02/magazine/02self-measurement-t.html?pagewanted=all As for books, how about "DIY U"?

MariaD commented on Kim Lightle's event 'Let's Present With Prezi!'
In preparation for the event, I am trying to make a presentation "counting to million." It's an adventure showing the tool's capabilities and limitations. I will share when we get there.

Hi Maria - I did add the Math 2.0 event to the MSP2 calendar. I'll plan on adding it each week. Kim

Hi Maria - I will add the Math 2.0 weekly event. I found the page (and signed up) that describes the weekly event but I don't see the agenda/URL for the Elluminate room (http://mathfuture.wikispaces.com/Math+2.0+Activities) for August 19 - do you have that ready?

It would be great if you could disseminate information about our MSP2 (when appropriate) to you group. I could always add it - just want to be sure where you would want me to add it to your wiki space.

Talk to you soon - Kim

Maria - I knew you looked familiar! We need to add the Web 2.0 Math webinars to our events calendar - I'll go ahead and do that.

I don't know of a similar network for high school - although they are probably out there. If I hear of something, I'll send you an email.

Again - thanks for joining. Kim

Hi Maria - So glad you joined the MSP2 network.

I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science teachers - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight lots of exemplary online math and science resources.

We've had two Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks and one on Moodle in the Middle. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link. I see you have signed up for the Digital Storytelling webinar - Jessica will do a really great job.

Your picture is really familiar - did you do a webinar for Steve Hargadon on Learn Central?

Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Welcome – Kim
