Few things about middle school students drive teachers to the brink of insanity faster than organization (or lack thereof) and homework. Join us for a discussion of one way to help combat both problems while also addressing multiple intelligences, differentiation, and student choice.Interactive Notebooks are a way to help facilitate all of these things by allowing your students to be creative and have a choice in the way they process information. Hi Marsha - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. I see that you checked "Other" - what other are you? Knowing all the ways that our members are involved in education helps us get closer to meeting the needs of our audience. It would be great on your My Page if you would add a short bio in your Text Box.
In any case, I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks (were you able to get to this one?), Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab.
The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!
Beautiful dress! So, besides having a great fashion sense, what other interests do you have? Do you teach science? Math? You can introduce yourself here so others can get to know you better. You can also join groups and add to discussions, a great way to meet people that are in the same boat.
toodles
Welcome, Marsha. We're glad you've joined MSP2 and glad that you are participating in the Interactive Notebook session this week. Do you use Interactive Notebooks? What other digital or web-based tools do you use in your classroom? Or...what other digital or web-based tools are you interested to use?
