Hope you join us online this Thursday, 1/13 at 4pm EST as we explore how reader's theater can be used to improve comprehension of informational text and help students learn science concepts. We'll focus on science-themed text, but the same principles can apply to other content areas as well. You can find the link to participate, the descriptions, and archived recordings of all the webinars at http://wiki.nsdl.org/index.php/BeyondPenguins/Seminars
Hi Mary - I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you and your students can join us for one of them soon.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim
Welcome, Mary. We're glad you've joined MSP2. I'd love to know what prompted you to do so. Is there anything in particular you're looking for? Hoping to gain? Interested in contributing? Kim Lightle started a Teacher Education group here on MSP2 that we'd love to grow.
Hi Mary
Welcome to MSP2.
I take it you know Kim. Are a math teacher too?
Let us know what all you are doing and are interested in by introducing yourself here. There are also groups you can join and discussion boards. You can add on to the discussions already started or feel free to start a new topic. We would love to have your added ideas and insights.
If you need help with anything, just let us know.

Hi Mary - Thanks so much for joining - we're all learning about how to use social networks (including LInkedIn) so any ideas for groups, discussions, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I can't remember if you are teaching any mathematics education but all the MSP2 science and math resources - publications, blogs, and Diigo lists are on the left side of the Main page. Kim
