Hi Mary - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim
PS - I see you on the chat list but never get to chat with you. The next time you are on - go to the bottom of your screen and click on the enlarge arrow! I would like to chat with you.
Thanks for sharing, Mary. Karolee Smiley, one of the hosts here on MSP2, is AVID teacher at her school.
A pickle turns into a sodium vapor light! Wow! How do you do that? Is that a familiar experiment/demonstration? Is it something others might find interesting and useful? Maybe consider sharing??

Welcome, Mary! Several new members have found out about MSP2 through a friend or colleague. I'll take that as an endorsement that this site is serving a purpose!
Would you be willing to share a little bit about yourself? What you teach? What you love to teach? What you're looking for at MSP2? What or how you'd like to contribute?

Hi Mary - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. We're just getting started so any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! We've got lots of resources for middle school science teachers - look at the left side of the Main page - Science Publications, Diigo lists, and two project blogs - Connecting News to the National Science Education Standards and Exemplary Resources for Middle School Math and Science.
Right now there are three groups - Science, Math, and Integrating Technology - I would encourage you to join one or more and start a conversation. Are there any specific topics or issues you would like to see addressed?
Hi Mary
Welcome to MSP2
Please introduce yourself, explore the site, join groups and add to discussions. The more we all share, the more we all can learn. There is a wealth of resources here, and now you are a part of that too.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know.
