Patricia! I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you on your question about joining the webinar! I hope you found the log-in easy to do.

We are looking forward to conversations and sharing resources about middle grades education. Did you come out of a middle grades pre-service background? Are you familiar with National Middle School Association (one of the partners on the MSP2 project)? Is there any particular topic about middle grades education that you'd like to see us pursue here, and that would help you?

Hi Patricia - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. Even if you are an "other" - I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.

We've had two Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks and one on Moodle in the Middle. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link.

You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next two are on Digital Storytelling and Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!

Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome – Kim

Hi Patricia
Welcome to MSP2
Please introduce yourself here and lets us know how we can help you. Do you teach math? Science? Do you work in education in another capacity?
I would like to encourage you to explore the site, join groups, and add to discussions. The site is growing and as we get more members, we have more to share.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know. We are here to help you.

Welcome to MSP2, Patricia!

This is a growing community that is resource-rich. Members range from pre-service teachers to educators with 30+ years of classroom experience. Additionally, there is an extensive library of digital content for math and science education, and content that is specifically about middle grades education.

Would you be willing to share a little bit about yourself? What you teach? What you LOVE to teach? What prompted you to join MSP2? What you'd like to learn, share, discover, contribute to this community?

Again, welcome.

M
