Now that you have been a member of the portal for almost a month, have you found it to be of help to you? Do you have suggestions for ways we can make it more meaningful to you?
I also wanted to write a note because your spelling of Rebekka is unique. I always wished my mom had spelled mine Rebekah. ;-)
I look forward to working with you here on the portal. - Rebecca

Welcome, Rebekka,
To echo Kim, yes, we're delighted that you've decided to join MSP2 and shared info via your profile. I'd be curious as to what motivated you to join.
Glad to see that you've joined the book club, as well! Have you already read Omnivore's Dilemma? Are you engaged in any sustainability initiatives either professional or personally? I recently tripped across the Edible Schoolyard initiative and have been poking around to see who else is engaged in that type of school-based program.
Again, welcome.

Hi Rebekka - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. So glad you provided some information in your profile - you can also write more of a bio in your text box on your My Page. If fact, there are all sorts of things that you can do to personalize your experience in this network - we're having our next online "getting started" session October 6 - hopefully, you'll be able to join us.
We have lots of resources for middle school science (and math) teachers - resource guides, Diigo lists/groups, and project blogs. All of these resources can be found on the left side of the Main Page.
We've already had five online TechTalks with many more planned. You can get the archive of past webinars from our Webinar Archive page (it's on the Main Page too). Look under the Events tab to see all the upcoming events.
It's great that you joined the book club - we'll meet online October 28 to have our "face to face" discussion with online discussions for now. Have you read the book yet?
Last thing - thanks so much for filling out your profile. The advanced search allows for members to search on those profile questions - we hope that members will come together and help each other. We'll start putting together a resource guide for Science Fairs and Competitions (our other guides are here). Anything that you'd especially like to see?
Any ideas or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Welcome - Kim
