Hi RIck - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. I wanted reiterate Karolee's point that we've got lots of resources for middle school math and science teachers - look at the left side of the Main page - Math and Science Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
We've had two Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks and one on Moodle in the Middle. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next two are on Digital Storytelling and Using Wikis - Karolee is doing that one. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!
Hope you get involved - your perspective (4 years in the classroom) would be really good - believe it or not there are lots of veteran teachers that are members!
Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated.
Hey trouble!
Glad you joined in! There are a whole bunch of resources here. You should look at the library to see what all they have math-wise. There are also some great math teachers here. They have been discussing homework and other class issues. The great thing... they are also teaching middle school math, so its easy to share ideas that are relevant. You can find them by joining the math group.
There are also events, discussions, blogs and so forth. If you have any questions, let me know.
