Hope you join us online this Thursday, 1/13 at 4pm EST as we explore how reader's theater can be used to improve comprehension of informational text and help students learn science concepts. We'll focus on science-themed text, but the same principles can apply to other content areas as well. You can find the link to participate, the descriptions, and archived recordings of all the webinars at http://wiki.nsdl.org/index.php/BeyondPenguins/Seminars
Hi Sandra - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim
Hi Sandra - MSP2 is an OSU project - we're are going to be running some focus groups this summer on campus - would you be interested in participating? We would probably meet for a couple of hours in the afternoon sometime during the week. Any particular day work best for you? We have incentives and would pay for your gas! Thanks, Kim
Hi Sandra - Thanks so much for joining the MSP2 network! I see you are a mathematics teacher - I'm assuming grade 5? What are your most pressing needs - any feedback that you could give us would be greatly appreciated. We so have some math publications - http://msportal-2.ning.com/page/math-publications. One called Focal Points - Grade 5 might be helpful to you. We also have a blog called Middle School Math and Science - see the right side of the Main page. Please participate as much as you can! Regards, Kim
