Hi Tami - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.

We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.

You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim

PS - Did Tom every get back with you with an answer to your question about a source of cheap GPS units?

Hi Tami
Welcome to MSP2. I am glad you joined in.
Besides geocaching, are there other things you are interested in? You might want to introduce yourself here and join groups. Its a great way to find more people with similar interests. Its a great way to find information and share your own experiences and expertise.

Welcome, Tami! We're glad you've joined MSP2. Would you be willing to share a little bit about yourself? What science topics you particularly love to teach? A highlight from this year? What you're looking to gain from MSP2 or how MSP2 can help you? What you'd like to contribute/share here?

There are some amazing science and math educators in this community, and I'm certain you'll find resources, support, ideas, and new professional colleagues. I'm also hoping you'll be willing to share your experience and knowledge and jump into discussions.

Hi Tami - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. We're just getting started so any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! We've got lots of resources for middle school science teachers - look at the left side of the Main page - Science Publications, Diigo lists, and two project blogs - Connecting News to the National Science Education Standards and Exemplary Resources for Middle School Math and Science. A third blog - Polar News and Resources might also be interesting to you - it's coming from another of our projects - Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears.

Right now there are three groups - Science, Math, and Integrating Technology - I would encourage you to join one or more and start a conversation. Are there any specific topics or issues you would like to see addressed?

Again, welcome!
Jessica
