I realize that I'm not getting as much out of MSP as I should be! I'm done just lurking and poking around!

Hope you join us online this Thursday, 1/13 at 4pm EST as we explore how reader's theater can be used to improve comprehension of informational text and help students learn science concepts. We'll focus on science-themed text, but the same principles can apply to other  content areas as well. You can find the link to participate, the descriptions, and archived recordings of all the webinars at http://wiki.nsdl.org/index.php/BeyondPenguins/Seminars

Hi Tawney - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.

We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.

You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim

Hi Tawney - Love what you've done with your personal page - not sure what we can do with the banner though... So glad you've joined the MSP2 network. I see you teach mathematics at the elementary level - you'll bring a really important perspective to the group. We do have resources for math teachers - see the Main page - math publications, Diigo lists, and the Middle School Math and Science blog. Are there any topics or issues you would like to see addressed? Hope you get involved - welcome! Kim

Welcome! We're glad you joined us, Tawney (or do you go by Tawney Brooke?). Would you be willing to share a little bit about yourself? What you teach? What you LOVE to teach? How you found MSP2? How MSP2 can help you?
M
