Since Kim has given you the summary of the MSP2 site and pointed out some of its features, I'll simply say, "Hello, glad to have you on board."
We look forward to seeing you here on the site and hope you'll feel free to jump in, post, comment, question, offer ideas and resources, and initiate conversation.
Hi Tonya - Welcome aboard! I wanted to tell you a little about MSP2 - we are using this NING network as a place where educators can connect with each other (through answers to profile questions and the advanced Members search) and also as a way to connect educators with exemplary resources and professional development opportunities. Please check out our guide to Making the Most of MSP2.
If you look on the Main page - you'll see MSP2 resources in the upper left hand box - we have resource guides where we have sifted and sorted and contextualized resources on topics important to middle school math and science teachers, an archive of all of our past webinars, the ability to search the MSP2 collection, and pages of teacher and student opportunities and grants. Our newest resource guides are Teaching With Trade Books and Reading 2.0 - both of which include lessons for math and science.
Please don't hesitate to post a question or comment on a discussion or blog post. We are always looking for feedback and new ideas for PD opportunities and people who would like to present.
