Do your students struggle with comprehension or vocabulary development? Looking for ways to integrate literacy in your instruction? This group will explore issues related to literacy in middle school science and mathematics.
Are you looking for a way to interact with your students online? Moodle is designed to help educators create online courses with opportunities for rich interaction. It's free, open source, and can be adapted to any learning environment. Create calendars, message boards, resource pages, wikis, surveys, tests, and more. Tom has used Moodle with his 5th-8th graders for the past 3 years to teach science and technology and will share his experiences with this e-learning platform.Facilitator:…See More
Well, I am giving a short presentation on wikis in a couple of weeks if you are unfamiliar with them. Its one of the Elluminate events we have scheduled. I am not a wiki expert, but I have been researching and using them.

Hi Vicki - Love what you've done to your personal page! So glad you joined the MSP2 network. I wanted to point out that we've got lots of resources for middle school math educators - look at the left side of the Main page - Math Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
We've had two Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks and one on Moodle in the Middle (were you able to participate in the Moodle webinar?), You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next two are on Digital Storytelling and Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!
Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!
Welcome – Kim
