Hi,

If you are interested, there are several places where you can immediately take something away or contribute to this site.  First, visit our Make the Most of MSP2 page.  Second, check out the group Collaboration.  MSP2 wants to create opportunities for teachers to collaborate locally or globally and form PLCs around science and mathematics. This group provides educators with a forum to create student collaboration projects around STEM concepts.  There is a link to our Cool Tools wiki under MSP2 Resources on the main page, too.

Is there anything I can help you with right now?

There are several great upcoming events scheduled, too!

Aloha!

No kidding! Please go ahead and blog about LessonSketch on the MSP2 blog - I also want you at some time to blog on our NSDL blog. You might also want to add a comment about the resource in the Math group. Depending on how people have their "follows" set - they might not see the general blog post.

You could always blog about it in our Middle School Math and Science blog :)

Hi Wendy! Was just looking through my pile of stuff from the Cyberlearning meeting and came across the LessonSketch brochure and thought of you! Is it live now? Let's figure out how to get the word out through MSP2. So glad we ran into each other!

Welcome to the MSP2 NING network and community! So glad you've joined us.

Have you had a chance to explore the site, yet? You'll find lesson ideas, digital resources for classroom use, and connections to current news items. Look at the left side of the Main page and you'll find the MSP2 Resources box with Math and Science Resource Guides where we have sifted and sorted and contextualized resources on topics important to middle school math and science teachers. We hope that members of the network (like you) will help us add content to these pages. On the right side of the Main page we have our two project blogs - Resources for Math and Science and Connecting News. We also have a great Free technology for Teachers blog.

We have several webinars every month on a variety of topics - curricular topics, teaching strategies and technology tools for use in the classroom to name just a few. You can get to the archived recordings of those by clicking on the Webinar Archive link (http://wiki.nsdl.org/index.php/MiddleSchoolPortal/Webinar_Archive). You can also see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. We also have a book club that meets periodically, check out the Book Club Group for more information on that.

We also just added resources for youth - a series of virtual learning experiences for students. Check out the SMARTR site for students from the MSP2 home page or by going to http://smartr.edc.org.

Please send any ideas or feedback you have our way, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Sarita Pillai
MSP2 Co-Principal Investigator
