Hi William - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff!
I would really appreciate it if you would think about topics you think we might address - especially given that you an informal educator. BTW - we are planning a webinar on citizen science and inquiry. Thanks for your help - Kim
Hi William
Welcome to MSP2
Please introduce yourself, explore the site, join groups and add to discussions. The more we all share, the more we all can learn. There is a wealth of resources here, and now you are a part of that too.
If you need any help or would like to see something added, just let us know. We are here to help.
toodles
Welcome, William. We're glad you've joined MSP2. Would you be willing to share a little bit about yourself? What you teach? What role(s) you have in your school or district or community?
I'd also be interested to know what prompted you to join MSP2, including what you're looking for or hoping to gain. I also hope you'll be willing to jump in, share, comment, ask questions.
Hi William - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. We're just getting started so any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! We've got lots of resources for middle school math - look at the left side of the Main page - Math Publications, Diigo lists, and one of our project blogs where we highlight lots of exemplary online math (and science) resources - Resources for Middle School Math and Science.
I see that you are an informal educator - and that Cherlyn is one of your friends. She is on the MSP2 advisory board - it's been great getting to know her. We've got quite a few eduators signed up for the network that aren't traditional teachers - I'm really glad that we are getting all sorts of perspectives.
Is there anything specific that you would like to see addressed - topics or issues? Welcome - Kim
PS - love what you've done with your page!
