CSTA is coming up and its here in Sacramento! I am going! How about you?
Conferences like this only happen once a year, but the ideas are needed throughout the year. That is part of what I like about online resources, they are there all year.
I was hoping that you might be able to share some of the great things you have picked up, or even better... presented, at CSTA with the MSP2 group as well. So many people can't go to great conferences like these.
Hi Ginna, I'm Evelyn Abaygar , your classmate in UP. I'm also here in California (Riverside). I am teaching high school (Special Education) in a Non-Public Alternative School in Covina. Hope to hear from you soon!
HI Ginna - Hope your summer is going well! I wanted to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon.
We've had three Tech Talks so far - one on Interactive Notebooks, Moodle, and Digital Storytelling. You can get to the recordings of those by clicking on the Web Archive link.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. The next TechTalk topic is Using Wikis. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Kim
Ah...we only have the present, so can throw ourselves thoroughly into it! There are other district folks here in the community. If you think it would be helpful, we could start a group that "meets" and talks about district level issues.

Hi Ginna - So glad you joined the MSP2 network. We're just getting started so any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! We've got lots of resources for middle school science teachers - look at the left side of the Main page - Science Publications, Diigo lists, and two project blogs - Connecting News to the National Science Education Standards and Exemplary Resources for Middle School Math and Science. A third blog - Polar News and Resources might also be interesting to you - it's coming from another one of our projects - Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears.
Right now there are three groups - Science, Math, and Integrating Technology - I would encourage you to join one or more and start a conversation. Are there any specific topics or issues you would like to see addressed?
Welcome Ginna. We're glad you've joined us. Is there anything in particular that you're interested in finding? Hoping to gain or share? There are some great science folks on board. There are also some fabulous resources, including the Science Publications. I hope you'll be willing to jump in, participate in discussions, pose questions, share ideas. with your years of experience, you have a great deal to offer this community.

I don't think most of our teachers know anything about the resources available here and on the NSDL site. This place is just starting, but as more people join, more gets shared and more is available. I know you have tons you can share as well!
Glad you joined
