"Hello Marilex - I do agree it can be acquired but still there are really people who are born with the skill in problem solving, those who are fast learners compared to averaged math people right? Anyhow. Keep it up."
Hope you join us online this Thursday, 1/13 at 4pm EST as we explore how reader's theater can be used to improve comprehension of informational text and help students learn science concepts. We'll focus on science-themed text, but the same principles can apply to other content areas as well. You can find the link to participate, the descriptions, and archived recordings of all the webinars at http://wiki.nsdl.org/index.php/BeyondPenguins/Seminars
Hi Jhoana - Thanks so much for joining the MSP2 social network and already participating! We've got some resources that I think will be helpful to you - look at the left side of the Main page - Math Resource Guides, Diigo lists, and project blogs where we highlight exemplary online math and science resources and the research that is going on at the polar regions.
You'll also see that we have some links in the MSP2 Resources box - Getting Funding, Teacher Opportunities, Favorite Blogs, and Freeware/Shareware. We hope that members of the network will help us add content to these pages.
In addition, I want to update you on our free webinars and hope you can join us for one of them soon. Today's webinar is on Universal Design For Learning - if you don't have anything better to do at 4pm EST – it would be great if you could "drop" by - click on http://tinyurl.com/participateMSP2 - not sure you can drop by - time zones always goof me up! In any case you can always listen to the recording.
You can see all our upcoming events by clicking on the Events tab. We've got lots more topics to cover in the next few months - technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, all sorts of fun stuff! The archive of all our past webinars can be found on our archive page which is linked in the MSP2 Resources box on the MSP2 Main page.
We've also got lots of groups that might be of interest to you.
Any ideas on additional topics or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated! Welcome – Kim
