Get Involved in International Polar Week: March 18-24

Join schools across the country and world in celebrating March Polar Week, which coincides with the spring equinox, one of two times a year when everyone on the planet gets 12 hours of sunlight.  We want to celebrate on a global scale by focusing on the science being conducted in the Arctic and Antarctic.

  • Unite with educators, researchers, students, and communities in the study of the Polar Regions.
  • Launch a virtual balloon and watch our learning community grow.

  • Connect with researchers who are working in the Arctic and Antarctic through live “Connecting the Poles” webinar events.
  • Access activities and presentations on polar topics.

Join in the fun of science and learn more about all these activities at:

You can also find other polar resources in the free online magazine, Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears and in the resource guide Science in the Polar Regions
